Rallynuts Showroom Open Day

On Saturday 27th January, we will be holding an Open Day at our Showroom in Redditch. We are holding the event in conjunction with the Redditch and District Car Club. With a wide selection of vehicles available from the club it should be an exciting day for rally fans and car lovers alike.

We are proud to announce that Russell Brookes the Chairman of the RDCC will be attending the event, for people who are local or have been involved in the Rally World, Russell needs no introduction. But we would like to introduce Russell to our fans and fill you in on his accolades over the years.

Russell Brookes won the British Rally Championship in 1977 & 1985. He has also competed in the World Rally Championship where he finished on the podium of his home event, the RAC Rally, three times in a row from 1977 to 1979. In 1978, Russell won the Rally New Zealand, a round of the FIA Cup for Drivers, the predecessor to the World Championship.

Throughout his career he drove for a range of different teams including Ford, Talbot and Vauxhall / Opel. More recently Russell took part in the Colin McRae Forest Stages Rally, a round of the Scottish Rally Championship. He competed in a historic Ford Escort RS1600. He was one of a number of ex-world and British Champions to take part at the event in memory of Colin McRae.

We look forward to welcoming you to our showroom on Saturday 27th, and with the wide selection of cars to view along with the chance to meet a rally legend, it is an event not to be missed.
