What Is Nomex?

You've probably heard the word Nomex alot whilst searching for racewear but what is it? What is it used for?

Well, Nomex® is the brand name for a heat-resistant and flame-resistant aramid fibre developed by DuPont in the early 1960s. It is widely used in a variety of applications due to its durability and protective properties. Its technical name is "Synthetic aromatic polyamide polymer" But who's going to remember all that!
