Mintex M1155 brake pads are designed for competition use, the compound has a similar, medium friction level to that of the Mintex M1144 at 0.4, but remains consistent to a maximum operating temperature of 700°c, with a flat friction curve and positive pressure modulation and fade resistance up to 600°c. This compound is recommended for anyone with light to medium weight cars with or those with big brake conversions and those who know they are not particularly heavy on their brakes.
They offer a superb bite from cold and are suitable for trackdays, sprint and hillclimb, rallying or fast road use, based on the suggestions above. After fitting, wipe your discs clean with some brake cleaner, then when warmed up, perform around 8 or 9 controlled stops, from 90ph down to 30mph and then allow to cool without remaining applied. Typically the harder pads become and the higher the metallic composition, the more the brake discs wear and the more the amount of dust that is created, so do expect some dust with these pads and some occasional squeaks!
